Once again the Jakarandas are in full bloom. The city is bathed in purple with flowers. It keeps many street sweepers busy as they fall to the ground. Spring days are hot in Pretoria with temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius at midday.

We have blooming jacarandas here too. I think the public here wouldn't be too pleased if the street sweepers cleaned up all the blossoms.
Beautiful and "olde-worldy" - it looks like a scene from my childhood in Johannesburg many many years ago.
Looks like Japan and the sakura trees. Quite amazing, thanks for the photo :)
